Space Travel Art is about celebrating the current massive international effort of nations and billionaires as they compete to reach out into our solar system! Something newsworthy about space happens almost every day now! Earlier in 2019, a team of scientists led by a 28-year-old researcher photographed a black hole for the first time in history! Even India put a spaceship on the moon in 2019! Scientists have discovered earth like exoplanets far from our solar system such as Kepler 452b and Kepler 186f, and scientists have had to create a variety of new names for new discoveries - terms like super earth, and hot Jupiter, or gravitational slingshot, and termination shock.
Scientists have found evidence of thousands of black holes living near the center of our galaxy. Astronomers have even detected signals from the oldest stars in the universe! As an individual, I have been fascinated with interstellar travel and drawing pictures of space since childhood - and now, as an artist, this barrage of newly discovered planets and celestial objects lights up my imagination like a 4th grader who asks too many awkward questions; โ€œCan you hear sounds in space?โ€โ€ฆIs there really a Planet 9?โ€ฆ How long does it take to get to Mars?โ€โ€ฆ โ€œAre worm holes real?โ€โ€ฆ โ€œExactly how does mass bend spacetime?โ€โ€ฆโ€œWhy is Light a particle when you are looking at it but a wave if youโ€™re not?โ€

NASA already has a branch called the Exoplanet Travel Bureau โ€ฆI kid you not.
You can even purchase Exoplanet Tourism Posters on their website!
...I think that someday our childrenโ€™s children will look back on these times, and with the benefit of hindsight they will see that this point in history was indeed a turning pointโ€ฆa paradigm shift, of the human experience.
